Rich Peanut Butter and Banana Milkshake

This is the richest banana milkshake you’ll ever have. My sister found this online and wanted to try it. We did one night and it was densely fulfilling. I am never going back to the regular banana milkshake. The smooth peanut butter and creamy vanilla ice cream form a rather symmetric blend of sugar and salt. Banana is the fruit you will always find in Pakistan, all year round. This recipe is a definite keeper for all the late night workers and here’s what you’ll need.

Serves 2:

2 ripe bananas
1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter
3/4 cup of milk
1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
a few ice cubes and;
1 tablespoon of golden syrup (optional)

Try to use the perfectly ripe bananas and smooth peanut butter to bring out the best flavors.

First, you need to prepare the banana slices for decoration. This is optional and you may hop to the next paragraph. Cut out two diagonal slices of banana and dip instantly in golden syrup (or normal sugar syrup) and set aside. This will keep the banana from oxidizing.

Blend the bananas, peanut butter and milk in a blender till smooth. Add the ice and blend again. Throw in the ice cream and blend again. Any good quality vanilla ice cream will do.

And that’s it. Pour into glasses, slit a side of the sugar glazed banana slice, decorate your glass and drink!

You can throw in your favorite straw for extra love. Isn’t this adorable?

Let me know if you think this is better than the regular milkshake, in the comments below. Thank you for reading!
