I absolutely love it when my friends cook something delicious and share their joy. I have always said that sharing recipes is love (reminds me of that movie ‘The Ramen Girl‘). This guest post is from a bright girl named Alina, who will always be six years old in my mind. She is all grown up now and was sweet enough to share this recipe.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients (Serves 2):
200 gm medium sized, shelled and de-veined prawns
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp red chili sauce
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
a slash of worcestershire sauce
1 tsp red chili flakes
chinese salt, to taste (optional)
2 tbsp cornflour, mixed in 4 tbsp water
1 and 1/2 cup water
In a wok or deep pan, stir fry prawns in olive oil along with garlic and ginger paste until light golden (remember stir fry is always on high flame). Then add salt, black pepper, chili flakes and lemon juice. Keep stirring. Mix in red chili sauce, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, and chinese salt to it. Stir for another minute.
Add water to it and let it come to boil. After the first boil add cornflour to it and mix it well until a think sauce is formed.
That’s it! Serve with boiled rice and stir fried veggies.
Thank you for reading and thank you, Alina, for the recipe.
