Chocolate Chip Cake

I love baking cakes. It is so satisfying especially when it disappears with in hours. That’s exactly what happened with this one.

Here’s you can make this delicious treat. 

You will need a 9-inch cake tin for this.

225 gms caster sugar
225 gms soft butter (or alternatively 250ml vegetable oil)
225 gms flour
2 tsp baking powder
4 large eggs (if your eggs are medium sized, add about two tbsp of milk)
1/2 cup of chocolate chips. 

Pre-heat your oven at 170 C. Throw everything except the chocolate chips into a bowl and mix till combined. Pour into a lined and greased cake tin and just before you’re about to pop it into the oven, sprinkle all the chocolate chips on top. Bake it in the oven for about 25-30 mins or until nicely golden on top. As the cake cooks, the chocolate chip will sink below.

Make yourself some tea while it bakes.

Once cooked, let it cool slightly before flipping it over. Have it with some warm coffee and enjoy a beautiful afternoon.
